A private jet reportedly belonging to Usama bin Laden’s family crashed in southern England Friday, killing four people.

The UK Telegraph reported that the plane, which was flying from Milan to Blackbushe airfield in Hampshire – approximately 40 miles southwest of London -- overshot the runway and clipped a fence before nosediving into a car auction and bursting into flames.

Acting Chief Inspector Olga Venner of Hampshire Police told The Associated Press "sadly, there were no survivors." No-one on the ground was injured in the crash, which also destroyed around 20 cars. It was unclear if there were any members of the bin Laden family on board the aircraft.

The jet, an Embraer Phenom 300, was owned by Salem Aviation, a company which is part of the bin Laden conglomerate, The Telegraph reported.

Witness Barry Wright told the BBC that the plane "went up in a ball of flames in about 60 seconds."

"It sounded like a missile coming in - very loud, followed by several explosions," he said.

Andrew Thomas, who was paying for a car at the time, told Sky News it was an "aggressive fire" and there was "explosion after explosion".

"I could see one of the wings sticking up and it was in flames and four, five cars around it were all in flames,” he said.
