Ben Affleck’s camp went on the defensive Tuesday, claiming there was no mile-high monkey business between the actor and his former nanny, Christine Ouzounian, on their private-jet trip to Las Vegas with quarterback Tom Brady.

They insisted that the flight was simply for a charity event and that there were other Affleck underlings on board, including some who also posed with Brady’s Super Bowl rings — but they refused to say who.

They also wouldn’t say who owned the private jet, and even claimed not to know who snapped the photo published exclusively in The Post on Tuesday, showing a beaming Christine, 28, playfully perched in her seat wearing Brady’s four Super Bowl rings.

“Christine flew with Ben from the Bahamas to Vegas because she was helping him with his poker tournament for his charity [the Eastern Congo Initiative],” a pal insisted.

“[She] was flying back to LA anyway, so decided to take a ride on the plane and then just went to the tournament to help out as an extra hand.

“There were many other people on the plane, including other assistants and staff working for Ben who were helping with the event, and many of these also tried on Tom’s Super Bowl rings and took photos.

“She was not hiding,” the friend groused. “After the tournament ended, Ben returned to the Bahamas, to the family. Christine went home to LA.”

Affleck’s defenders refused to say whether Brady’s wife, supermodel Gisele Bunchden, was aboard.

Affleck, who turns 43 on Saturday, and Garner, 43, announced they were ending their 10-year marriage three days after the photo of Ouzounian was taken on the jet. The source insisted there was no affair between Affleck and the nanny.

Ouzounian had been in the Bahamas with Affleck and Garner to help care for their kids as the couple prepared to announce their divorce.

Another sources said that after the family arrived in the Bahamas, Garner “began to get suspicious because the nanny was acting really strange. She was sent home and was supposed to fly directly back home to LA.”

Meanwhile, Affleck’s buddy Brady is grappling with his own issues.

A Manhattan federal judge on Tuesday ordered the New England Patriots quarterback and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell “to engage in further good-faith settlement efforts” over Deflategate before a court hearing Wednesday.
