TuneIn is sweetening the pot to get you to subscribe to its $7.99 per month premium service. Starting today, subscribers will get access to radio feeds for all NFL games, from the pre-season through the Super Bowl. That includes home and away feeds, as well as Spanish-language versions and an official NFL channel with non-game content, like talk shows.
The league currently offers radio feeds as part of its $99-per-year Game Pass subscription, which also includes video replays of all games. If you're just looking for the audio, TuneIn might be a better option. In addition to the US, TuneIn Premium is also available in Canada and the UK, and there are plans to expand to more countries soon.
The internet radio service launched its premium subscription just this past August. In addition to over 40,000 audiobooks and 600 commercial-free music stations, the service includes feeds for MLB games and Barclays Premier League and Bundesliga games. Of course, TuneIn has to go up against on-demand streaming options like Spotify, but it's confident that there's a large market that prefers existing terrestrial radio content. In that regard, it also faces competition from SiriusXM, which has its own exclusive commercial-free radio stations.
